Saturday Evening Post

Hi Everyone

So just a quick post tonight. I did a little project today that I wanted to share here on my blog. It's a different take on the matchbook cover, like the one's in my shop. This time instead of adding a piece of candy or paper to the matchbook I decided to use some leftover seed packets that I didn't plant this year. I think this would make a great gift for my friends.

Oh and a super super super special shout out to CowlickCutie for the FABULOUSLY FABULOUS handmade flower. Can I just tell you that I'm amazed at her talent! I love your handmade flowers.

Let's get started.
You will need:
1 digi stamp - Boy Bear
1 sheet of pattern paper 11" x 4"
Corner rounder
Embellishments
Copics

Step 1
Print out your fantastically cute digi Boy Bear and color with your Copics

Step 2.
Score the 11" x 4" pattern paper at 1" and 6 1/4"

Step 3
Take two strips of sticky strip and place on on the inside of the matchbook and one of the 1" flap of the matchbook (make sure this is close to the crease).

Step 4
Attach your seed packet to the inside of the matchbook. Then attach the 1" strip to the seed packet. NOTE: You will want to make sure that the sticky strip on the 1" piece is at the bottom so you have room to close the matchbook.

 Step 5
Adhere your digi stamp to a piece of card stock and decorate.
Step 6
Spread the love! I think your friends will love this little "Just Because" gift.

Have a great week everyone!

Hugs,
Kim

Saturday Morning Coffee

Oh Good morning!!

I have been away for a couple of days and have I had a few problems. My system crashed and I had to restore the whole thing! Have ever had to do that? OMG pain in the you know what! I think I have everything back up and running.

So, I sold one of my adorable 'Lady Card and Earring' cards, which inspired me to make a few more. I went to my local Michaels and found some more cute paper. I have to say, the paper skirt and the earrings match perfectly! Some of the outfits I want to wear.
As a child, I played with a lot of paper dolls. I even created new outfits for them and maybe this is where it all came from. I am almost playing dress up again.

So take a look at a few colors I came up with! Let me know what you think!!!

Here are 4 new designs. I have posted a couple more in my shop. Be my guest to take a look and purchase one of these adorable cards for your mother on her very special day!
Thank you for stopping by and have a fabulous Saturday!

Kim

Sunday Morning Quiet Time

Good Morning!

I am not sure what has gotten in to me lately, but I just can't sleep. I am not sure if it is the beautiful weather we are having or what! The past few mornings I have been waking up at 3:00, 4:00 and can't get back to sleep. Perhaps there is just too much on my mind before I go to sleep and it's racing around during the night and making me restless.

To avoid waking up the rest of the household, I go to my craftroom and begin working on my projects. My latest creation are a couple of pair of earrings. I do like them. Let me show you what I made.

This first pair is a beautifl set of pink earrings. These are made with Swarovski Crystals and pink glass beads. A pretty little silver separator divides the two. Soft and elegant.

I just love those! The next pair is a nice pair you can wear with your jeans. Sometimes you want to go out in jeans and a nice shirt. These would dress them up!

These feature a beautiful set made with Argentinean rhodonite rectangle beads and pink cat's-eye beads. I love these too!

I went ahead and posted these two sets in my shop and can be selected for purchase. With Mother's Day right around the corner, they would make a great gift! Add them to one of the "Lady Cards" and you have not only a gift...but a card as well!

Today I am off to a baby shower with my sister. One of our friends is having her second child. After the shower, my niece is coming to stay the night! Oh I am so excited! I just love that little angel! I will write about our evening tomorrow. We always have a fun adventure!

I wish you all a fabulous Sunday! Get out and enjoy the day!

Hugs,

Kim

Friday Early Morning

Where did Spring go?

Seriously, where did spring go? I feel like we skipped it and went straight to summer. I mean, I appreciate it, Mother Nature, since you pounded us with numerous rain storms a few weeks ago, but I think this is a little quick. Oh well. I'll just enjoy the "no jacket weather," roll down my car windows, and rock out while I drive. Yes, I'm one of those annoying people in the car next to you singing like I was on American Idol. Ha ha.

Today is going to be a great day! I really woke up early today! 3:00AM!! I can not believe that! I did get a few things done. I balanced the check book, paid some bills, made three pair of earrings, made a posting and went to the chat room to say "hey"! Great morning!

Let me show you what I made and posted!

Pretty huh?! Oh here is another pair!

I really like the black and yellow! I have another pair, but I haven't taken the picture. I will tonight and post it so you can see.

Well, I better get started getting ready for work. Here is wishing you all a great day!

Hugs,
Kim

The earrings below the picture is to give my customers the opportunity to switch the set if they'd like. I like all the sets, but this will give them the option.

Saturday Morning Coffee

Happy Saturday!

Oh this morning was a nice cup of cinnamin hazelnut coffee! Yummy! Bit of creamer and so so smooth. Picking up my magazine, First For Women. (love that magazine!) Very nice articles!

Yesterday I quoted one of the 7 suprise perks of giving yourself a break, so I thought I would add another one today that I liked.

Cures the blues: Girls' night out

"Socializing squelches the body's output of cortisol, a stress hormone that contributes to depressive moods," explains a physician. "Plus, it optimizes the brain's production of happiness-inducing neurotransmitters like serotonin." Just ask the women in a recent British study: 72 percent were able to overcome severe clinical depression within 12 months just by talking to with your girlfriends for one hour per week.

Now just so happens, I went to my girlfriends house last night and had a glass of wine! Boy did that relieve the stress of the day! Not that I really was stressed, but it was sure nice chatting with her for a couple of hours.

Well, here is wishing you all a fabulous day!

Hugs,
Kim

Fall is almost here...

I can't believe summer is almost gone. It's Labor day weekend, our California State Fair is in their final days. I've been out there once. I am hoping to go at least one more time.

I can't really say we have much of a summer. It hasn't been that hot. Usually we'll have a month or so of three digit weather, but not so much this year. We have been very fortunate not to have many fires in Northern Calif., however, Southern Calif. has their troubles. I hope they contain it soon. It's very sad to see all that beautiful land burned, or mostly sadness for all the people who have lossed homes, their animals, the wild animals as well. It's just too sad!

I haven't been up to much this past week. I made a few Christmas cards. That always puts me in a cheery mood! Next will be the christmas music, but I'll wait until Tuesday. So, let me post a couple for your view. Feel free to post any comments or suggestions!

Christmas Tags

Saturday morning was slow for me today. Slept in till 8:00 am! I never do that! I am usually up early. The only reason I think I got up at 8:00 is our Siamese cat was so stinking noisy! Then the dog jumps up and panting. Don't they ever sleep in??? Oh wait I forgot, they sleep all day!

My hubby has been working out of town so much! I don't hardly get to see him. I was able to fix him breakfast today! It was very nice to be able to sit down and eat together. Now he is off for a long day at work, he said he'll probably be late tonight. Then he will have to go out of town again next week to Ukiah.
So I am in my craft room, getting things ready for an up coming craft show. I made these tags!
I love tags. I like to make tags for my own packages. My family doesn't want to open the packages because they are gift wrapped in a theme. Do you ever do that? They are posted on my website, so you can take a look there at all the ones I have made.

Anyway, have fun looking, make a comment or two. I love feedback! If you think of something I could do better at, don't be afraid to tell me. I am OK with that!!! Talk to you soon!

Hugs!!

Saturday Morning Coffee

Ah! Good Morning.. I am having a great cup of coffee, toffee nut creamer! MMM! My fave. I am reading the online newspaper, saying hello to a few Facebook friends.

Today is a girlfriends birthday! Happy Birthday Angela!!! She and I have known each other for about 9 years. Since her and my birthday are 4 days apart, we usually celebrate with a dinner and a movie. I will buy one and she buys the other. Spending time with each other is the best gift of all.

Middle of July and close to the holidays. There are many "Christmas in July" presentations going on. Many artists are debuting their creations. I have began creating some of my line, only posting a few. I will list a couple and you can tell me what you think!

Have a great Saturday!
Hugs!
